Creative exploration is an ongoing process from the minute your little one is born. First through observation, and now they are beginning to put what they are learning into practice. Now at a stage of purposefully picking up toys, banging them, dropping them and chewing on them and really spending time examining the items in front of them, determining the relationship they have with the item and its purpose.
This is a really great time to sit back and watch your baby interact with their world, every day they are busying themselves learning and exploring their environment as their senses work hard transmitting information to their brain allowing them to creatively interact with the things around them.
Have you started tummy time yet? Tummy time is a big party of your little one physical and mental development helping them to convert from a stationary world to one on the move. With regular practice lifting his head up unassisted, bub is exercising his core strength and improving his motor skills. As he begins to look around in this position he also improves his visual and sensory skills.
Babies cry for a multitude of reasons and sometimes it can be hard to know why, particularly when they just won’t stop. When you don’t know how to help them, it can become both frustrating and saddening for you, feeling incapable and helpless yourself.
By spending some time learning the different reasons bub cries for and ways to remedy their needs, you can take the pressure off yourself removing some of the guess work involved in what to do. When we understand why bub is crying we can be better prepared to help them through.
