Mizzie Saves School Holidays - DIY Fake Mud!
Bring The Outdoors Inside during lockdown this school holidays!
School holidays are the perfect time for kids to get outside, go exploring and have new adventures and experiences! This winter break is a little different though, as most of Australia is under heavier restrictions and strict lockdown orders. We have to keep safe, but the little ones are still itching for an adventure!
Mizzie has found the perfect sensory activity for your little one to try out - Fake Mud!
This slimy, thick recipe is the perfect way to bring the outdoors in in a quick, easy and safe way - and right from your kitchen table or back yard!
Here's What You Need:
2 Cups of Flour*
2 Tablespoons of Cocoa Powder
2 Cups of Water
That's it - you can add some glitter or cereal pieces to add an extra layer of muddy texture!
* To be food safe, spread your flour on a baking sheet and bake for 5 mins on 180 Degrees Celsius to remove any bad bacterias.
Just mix your ingredients together to create a sticky, thick mud - pop it in a container and watch your little ones squish and squeal as they play!
And as a bonus, grab your favourite animal friends and shapes to push into the sludge! Try this one out and tag us on the Mizzie Instagram @mizziethekangaroo!
