With newborns literally any movements are going to be strengthening up their muscles. Tummy time is a must.

You have to start tummy time as early as you can with babies but keep it really short.

So little bursts of tummy time as often as you can throughout the day on the change table, lying on top of you if you have a lie down on a couch, lying on the bed, lying on a mat.

Keep it short but lots and lots of tummy time will really strengthen up all their muscles.
